DescriptionChild's dress of salmon-colored wool, printed with multi-colored dots. The neckline is wide and slightly square. The neckline edging is scalloped and embroidered simply in cream-colored silk thread. The bodice is ruched below the neckline and above the waistband. The short sleeves are cut in curves at the shoulder; the edges are scalloped and embroidered with the silk thread. The armhole seam (raglan-style) is piped. The waistband is edged with the silk thread in a chainstitch. The full skirt is gathered into the waistband. The center back opening extends thirteen inches and fastens with metal hooks and thread eyes. The bodice is lined with plain, white cotton. The neck edge is lined with yellow silk. The sleeves are lined with cream-colored silk. The waistband is lined with plain, white linen, with a narrower strip of cotton stitched over it.
