DescriptionChild's dress of white cotton woven with a narrow twill stripe. The wide neckline is controlled by a drawstring. The short sleeves are edged with hand-embroidered scalloped whitework. The bodice is gathered into the neckline and into the one-inch-wide whitework-embroidered waistband. The full skirt is gathered into the waistband. It is decorated with nine 1/2-inch tucks above the 1 1/2-inch-deep hem. The center back opening extends ten inches and fastens with the drawstring at the neckline and two brass hooks and thread eyes at the waist.
