DescriptionChild's dress of woven plaid, originally white, brown, and pink or purple---the latter color is almost completely faded out. The dress has a wide neckline controlled by a drawstring. The shoulder seam and armscye seams are piped. The short sleeves are slightly flared and decorated around the opening with a narrow, white tape applied in a wavy line. The bodice is gathered into the one-inch-wide waistband. The full skirt is gathered into the waistband. It has two tucks taken above the hem, which is decorated with a single, straight application of the narrow white tape. The center back opening extends eleven inches and fastens with the drawstring at the neck. The waistband is lined with plain, white cotton.
