DescriptionStudio portrait of a man, his wife, and six children. The man is seated and wears a coat with empty sleeves, because both arms have been amputated. He has a beard and mustache. His wife sits beside him holding a cannon ball. She holds an infant in her lap. A small girl and a small boy are seated at her feet. An older girl stands between her mother and father. Two additional boys are at the right.
NotesSubject Note: Private George Warner of Bethany Connecticut enlisted 5 August 1862. He was mustered in on 8 September 1862 to the 20th Connecticut Infantry, Company B. He was wounded 3 July 1863 at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, and discharged for disability 7 October 1863.
