Gussets of brown elastic fabric are stitched on either side of the tongue. The vamp is narrow, with a pointed toe. The Louis heel is covered in matching bronze leather, with hand-stitching in white thread along the outer edge. The quarters are lined in brown leather; the vamp is lined with brown, glazed, plain-woven cotton. The sock lining is brown leather. The soles are shaped for the right and left foot.
