DescriptionA man wearing a winter hat, coat, trousers, and boots stands ankle-deep in snow beside a mailbox. The name on the mailbox is "Landeck." A large leafless tree is at the left. Farm buildings, including a barn with a drainpipe and cupola, a silo, and sheds, are at the right. Fence posts with wire strung between them protrude from the snow. In the distance, an automobile approaches down a snow-covered road.
NotesSubject Note: The name on the mailbox refers to the artist Armin Landeck (1905-1984), a friend of Martin Lewis. (Finlay, 4/22/2003)
