DescriptionSeveral different views of a brick building and a wood frame building, probably on Court Street in Middletown. Both buildings appear to be commercial on the first floor and residential on the second. Automobiles and a pick-up truck are parked on the paved street and in a vacant lot to the left of the brick building. Both buildings also appear to be empty in most of the images. The back of a girl appears in the foreground of one image, another image includes a boy sitting in a doorway with a dog. Signs on the front of the brick building read: "Groceries"; "60" ; "Meats / 'Salada' / Tea"; and "Coca-Cola". Some images show only the brick building with empty lots to the left and the right. Some images show some windows and doors torn out of the first floor of the brick building. Wooden sawhorses that read: "Danger" are blocking the sidewalk.
NotesSubject Note: The Middletown Portland City Directory for 1955 lists the Family Food Store located at 60 Court Street.
