Two small vessels are nearby. One boat has a sail and a flag with a double eagle on it. Additional boats, including a steamboat, are on the river in the background. The city is beyond, on the right bank of the river, surrounded by a wall or dike. Buildings include several churches and a large Gothic cathedral.
