DescriptionWoman's ankle-high overshoe of plain-woven cotton coated with black rubber. The overshoe has a buckle closure on one side. The straight sole is black rubber, with a half-inch heel. It is nailed along the edges of the waist. The sole is heavy and stiff, and has broken across the waist because it didn't bend with the foot as the wearer walked. The upper is lined with twill-woven cotton.
