DescriptionSmall child's pinafore of brown calico with contrasting blue calico binding and piping. The bodice front is stitched with vertical box pleats. The wide neckline, waistline, and armscyes are piped with calico printed with a two-tone blue coral-like pattern. The opening edge of each short sleeve is bound in blue calico. On the front and back, the sleeve opening curves up to meet at the shoulder. The skirt is split at center front and center back into two flared, bias-cut panels with curved corners. Each panel is bound in the blue calico. The pinafore is open for the length of the center back and originally fastened with four buttons (now missing). The proper right skirt panel is pieced from four pieces of fabric.
