DescriptionA full moon with a faint face on it rises over a river or lake and a large field of hay or wheat. A wagon drawn by two horses or by two teams of horses is near the water. Men, presumably farm workers, stand nearby. Three large melons, probably watermelons, are in the foreground. Haystacks are in the distance. Trees frame the composition on the right and left. Clouds are in the sky above the moon. A sagging column or tree stump is at the far right.
