DescriptionView of a large building with arched doors and windows, columns, pilasters, a high basement, a porch, balustrades, and a domed cupola with a clock. A statue of an allegorical figure of Justice holding scales is atop the dome. American flags fly from the roof; a third flag, depicting two men flanking a shield, flies above the door. Lamp posts and an iron fence are on either side. Another classical revival building with a portico and pediment is at the right. Men, women, and children walk in the streets. Most women wear bonnets and shawls; some have parasols. Most men wear top hats and carry canes or walking sticks. A dog chases a ball in the left background. A grassy lawn surrounded by a chain fence is in the foreground. Two trees grow in the park. Additional trees line the street in the left background. Small two-story buildings line the street in the right background.
