DescriptionSheet music with a view of the Governor's Foot Guard assembled in front of the Old State House. Ranks of men in military uniform stand at attention holding muskets with fixed bayonets or swords. One man holds a flag. Musicians at the far left play musical instruments, including trumpets. An officer on a horse is in the street in front of the troops. The domed cupola and the roof of the Old State House are visible in the background. A statue of a woman with scales, representing the allegorical figure of Justice stands atop the dome. A balustrade and ornamental urns are on the roof. The lower part of the building is largely hidden by trees and an iron fence with stone posts.
NotesTechnique Note: Printing is entirely lithographic, including all of the text on the cover and the music on the interior pages. (Finlay 12/30/2002)
