DescriptionThree-quarter length portrait of two young women standing next to each other in an interior. Both women wear dresses trimmed with fur and bodices with crossed laces. The fur trim on the dress on the left appears to be ermine. The woman on the right wears a rose at her waist and wears a fur-trimmed glove on her left hand. She holds the other glove. With her right hand she holds the right hand of the woman on the left. The woman on the left has her left hand on her sister's shoulder. She wears two roses in her hair. Drapery is in the left background.
NotesTechnique Note: Extensive use of tuche (lithographic wash) in the shadows is similar to Kellogg & Thayer prints. (Finlay 12/2/2002)
