DescriptionTwo identical ribbons made from twill fabric in a red, white and blue vertical stripe. The ribbon is printed with the words "CONGREGA / DI MARIA SS. / DELLE GRAZIE / HARTFORD, CONN." in gold. At the top of the ribbon is a rectangular gold light metal frame with a piece of paper printed "MEMBER" inserted and with a pin backing. Another short white ribbon hangs from the frame and is attached to a round black and white image of the Virgin Mary surrounded by a gold round frame. On the back of the red, white and blue ribbon is a black ribbon printed in silver "IN MEMORIAM" above a cross below which is a circlet of foliage, then "CONGREGA DI MARIA SS. / DELLE GRAZIE / HARTFORD, CONN." At the bottom of the ribbons, a gold colored cord with fringe is wrapped around them both to keep the bottom edge together. From the collection of Gennaro Capobianco who documented the Italian community in Hartford.
