DescriptionInfant's dress consisting of a white underdress (.1) and pink corduroy jumper (.2). The underdress (.1) has a Peter Pan collar edged with narrow, white synthetic lace. The skirt is gathered onto the plain bodice. The skirt has a 1 1/2-inch self-fabric flounce edged with lace. The full sleeves are gathered on two rows of elastic at the wrist, which is also edged with lace. The center back opening of the underdress extends from the neck to the hem. It fastens with four translucent cream-colored plastic buttons.
The jumper (.2) is made of pale pink pinwale corduroy. The skirt extends to the shoulder straps, where it is stitched in inverted box pleats and decorated with two small buttons. The center front is machine-embroidered with a floral swag and bouquet. The hem of the jumper is cut in scallops and machine-stitched with white overcasting. The center back opening extends to the hem and fastens with four small buttons like those used on the underdress.
