DescriptionWide brimmed high rounded crown straw hat for small to medium-sized doll. Hat is made of braided rye straw (glossy and yellow in appearance); the braided strips are coiled in a spiral to form crown and brim and then sewn together with linen thread on the underside. A layer of gathered cheesecloth covers the under side of brim only. Folds of a similar material are wrapped around the crown on outside of hat. Large silk ribbon bow, pale blue, fastened at one side of crown at junture of crown and brim.
