There is a breast pocket on the proper left side, and a pocket covered with a 1 3/4-inch-deep straight flap on each lower side. The vest back and pocket bags are made of brown twill cotton. The vest lining is plain, undyed cotton. The fit of the vest adjusts by means of tabs across the back, which originally buckled, though the buckle is now missing.
