DescriptionBoy's skeleton suit of brown and madder-red printed cotton in a dot and grid design. The jacket (.a) is double-breasted, with wide revers below the round neckline. The buttons are self-covered. The sleeves are closely fitted and cut with a curve. They are smoothly fitted into the high shoulderline. The back sleeve seam is open for 2 1/2 inches above the wrist opening. Four buttons are stitched on the body of the jacket, about 2 1/4 inches above the bottom edge, for fastening the pants to the jacket. The jacket is unlined; however, strips of plain linen are stitched behind the buttons for stability and strength. The neckline is edged on the inside with a strip of linen, again, for stability.

The pants are very high-waisted and have a wide fall front which fastens with three self-covered buttons. The center front of the pants fasten with two buttons behind the fall; the lower button is shared with the fall. The legs are long and straight. The top edge of the pants is worked with four buttonholes for attaching to the jacket. The fall and waist area of the pants are lined with plain linen.
