DescriptionBoy's suit of dark blue wool knit fabric, consisting of a skirted blouse (.a) and shorts (.b). The blouse has a turn-down pointed collar and a two-button placket opening at center front and extending six inches. The long, straight sleeves are set smoothly into the armscye. A box-pleated skirt extends 5 3/4 inches below the bottom edge of the shirt part of the blouse. The blouse is unlined. The button placket is lined with dark blue cotton sateen. A strip of the same fabric, cut on the bias, stabilizes the neck edge. The shorts are slightly gathered into the waistband in back; they are smooth across the front. The waistband is made of the cotton sateen. The shorts are open for about eight inches down each side. The waistband is worked with buttons on the sides and center front for fastening to the undershirt. The shorts are unlined.
