DescriptionBoy's pants of white twill-woven cotton with a high waistline and suspenders. The pants are gathered into a narrow waistband across the back, but are smooth, without a waistband, in front. Two buttonholes worked into the front would have fastened to the suspenders. The suspenders are stitched in the back, and originally had buttons on the loose ends, though these are now missing. The pants are open on each side for about six inches and fasten with ties at the top. The legs have been lengthened by adding two inches of plain-woven linen to the bottoms. The suspenders have also been lengthened. The lower front crotch seam is open, with a placket covering.
