DescriptionBoy's pants of white, twill-woven cotton. The pants are gathered into the waistband at front and back. The pants open along each side for about five inches and fasten with buttons on the waistband (the buttons are now missing). Inside the waistband is stitched a strip of self-fabric, worked with buttonholes for fastening the pants to the shirt. Additionally, there are four white porcelain buttons for fastening the suspenders. There is a pocket on each side of the front of the pants. The pant legs have been made longer by adding 2 1/4 inches of similar (but slightly looser weave) fabric to the bottom, making the former hem resemble a tuck.
