DescriptionA man, a boy, and a small child stand on a grassy lawn in front of a frame house painted in contrasting colors. The house has louvered shutters, a projecting bay at the right, and latticework in the gables and porch. Two young leafless trees are at left and right. A paved sidewalk borders a dirt road in the foreground.
NotesSubject Note: In 1900, William E. Farnsworth was employed as a clerk at T. Sisson & Co., according to the Hartford City Directory. By 1901, he was listed as a druggist; by 1907, he had advanced to vice president of the company.Subject Note: Francis P. Farnsworth was born in 1897. He appears to be about five years old in this photograph, which therefore probably dates from about 1902. (Finlay 10/22/2002)
