DescriptionFrame houses and a large brick or stone building and leafless trees line a street that receeds into the background. Some of the houses have louvered shutters, balustrades, chimneys, and picket fences. Street lights, probably gas lamps, and paved sidewalks are in front of the houses. Horse-drawn vehicles, blurred from movement, are in the distance. Additional leafless trees are in a large grassy lawn in the foreground.
NotesSubject Note: These original Trinity College buildings were torn down to make way for the Connecticut State Capitol, now located on this site. (Finlay 12/29/2003)
