DescriptionA man and a woman stand at the open window of a stone building, probably a house. He wears a double-breasted jacket, shirt, stock, and necktie. He has sideburns. She wears a long cape or dressing gown trimmed with fur. A brooch is pinned to the neck of her dress. Drapery and interior hinged and paneled shutters are behind the couple. A large vase or urn containing flowers, including tulips and roses, is on the window sill at the right. A fringed blanket or drape is on the sill at the left. A vine grows on the wall at the far left.
