Included are a pre-election rally, a post-election celebration, Mayor Mortensen at his desk, reading mail, giving a speech at a podium, giving a testimonial broadcast on WTHT radio, meeting with the presidents of local labor unions, eating breakfast, removing the last trolley track in Hartford, on roller skates, and in a Chris Craft motorboat.
Several photographs document visits from the British foreign secretary, Edward Frederick Lindley Wood, Lord Halifax, to Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Hamilton Standard, and a luncheon at The Hartford Club.
