DescriptionTwo views of the aftermath of a flood in Danbury, Connecticut, resulting from a breach in a dam. The upper image shows two men looking at the remains of the dam. There is a deep wide gap in the center of the dam, surrounded by blocks of ice. Leafless trees and snow-covered hills are in the background. In the lower image, ice is piled around a two-story house. Additional houses are at left and right. At the left, a river flows beneath an arched bridge. Leafless trees, apparently elms, dot the landscape. Hills are in the background.
