DescriptionInfant's shirt of white cotton. The front and back panels of the shirt are square, seamed at the shoulders with a decorative herringbone stitch. The neckline is wide and slightly rounded at the corners. The short sleeves (1 5/8" wide) are stitched into the side seam. The sleeves are cut with a square extension which folds up diagonally to form a gusset under the arm. The lower side seams are open for two inches. One side of the shirt body is folded; the other is seamed. The neckline is trimmed with scalloped whitework embroidery.
