DescriptionGeneral view of three large academic buildings. The building in the center with the square tower and portico appears to be a chapel. Similar buildings on either side have central pediments supported by columns or pilasters. There appears to be a fountain in the yard behind a hedge or fence. Men and women are on the sidewalks in the foreground. A man on horseback and horse-drawn carriage are in the street.

Subject Note: Trinity College was located on Trinity Street near the site of the future Connecticut State Capitol Building until the 1870s when it moved to its new Gothic campus on Summit Street.
