DescriptionIvy covers the walls of a gothic revival church in the left foreground. A large hotel with a mansard roof and dormers is in the right background. Horse-drawn vehicles and bicycles are on the street. Men and women crowd the sidewalks.
NotesSubject Note: Park Church stood at the northwest corner of Asylum Street and High Street across the street from Bushnell Park. The building was erected in 1866-1867 and demolished in 1916, so it was no longer standing when this postcard was sent. The Garde Hotel opened in 1905 and was torn down in 1973.
