DescriptionThe interior of a paneled room is hung with numerous oil paintings in gilt frames. A large fireplace at the right has an ornate clock, candelabra, figurines, and vases on the mantelpiece. A potted palm is on one side of the fireplace, a cart containing firewood is on the other. A kettle sits on the hearth. Furniture in the room includes upholstered chairs and sofas, cushions, and a large desk with what appears to be an oil lamp on it. Oriental rugs are on the floor.
