DescriptionKiosk on a stone foundation is labeled "U.S. Weather Bureau / Department of Agriculture." Structure has ionic, fluted corners framing the window on each of its four sides. A thermometer and a barometer are in one of the windows, and a posted notice board is in another. The notices include a "weather map". A large group of men in overcoats and derby hats, some smoking cigars or cigarettes, cluster around the kiosk. A young boy stares directly at the photographer. He wears knickers, boots, a shirt, and a jacket. The Old State House, with arched entrances, lower windows, and stone construction, is in the background. The building also has an iron balcony on its second level. A raised curb surrounds the kiosk. A paved sidewalk is visible in the foreground.
