DescriptionExamination room in a doctor's office. An iron bed is in the far corner. Porcelain basins, a tea kettle, a pitcher and bed pans are on a stand nearby. A hot water bottle hangs from a nail in the brick wall. A soap dish, a rubber stopper and faucets are on a sink. Towel bars and a mirror are above. Flasks and glass bottles are on a table near a window. A chair is nearby. A scale is at the right near two cabinets. The floor appears to be covered with linoleum.
NotesSubject Note: In the 1910s, Cheney Brothers advertised that they were "the oldest and largest successful silk manufacturing company in America and the largest silk manufacturing company in the world." They produced dress silks of all kinds, silks for upholstery and drapery, velvets, cravats, millinery silks, silks for electrical purposes and silk yarns.
