DescriptionMan, two women, two girls and two small barefoot children sit by a fieldstone fireplace in a room. The man has a mustache. Both women wear eyeglasses. One holds a book, the other holds a newspaper. One of the girls wears a sailor blouse. A clock, lamp, shell, cowbell, vase and crocheted doilies are on the mantle. Iron andirons are in the fireplace. Unframed pictures are on the walls. Drapes and sheer curtains are at the windows. Two rugs are on the floor. A lamp, apparently a kerosene lamp, hangs from the ceiling. A crocheted afghan is on a couch at the left.
