There is a horse-drawn carriage in the dirt street next to the sidewalk. A barber pole is visible near the brick building next door. There is a tree next to the building at left. Utility poles and wires and street lights are visible. A frieze on the building reads: "Allyn House" Signs on the building read: "Apothecary Drugs & Surgical Supplies" "Hughes / Candies" "Family / Medicines / Physicians / Supplies / Toilet Requisites / Mineral / water".
