DescriptionWedding dress made for Margaret Helen Tracy (donor's grandmother) for her marriage to Charles T. Davis in Hartford, 1908. Made by Mary E. Tracy (sister of bride) who worked for ladies' specialty shop on Pratt Street. Later worn by donor's mother, Mary Virginia [Davis?] in July 18, 1942 marriage to William Paul Rice. Also worn by Carol Paquin (donor's sister in law) to [Wilbur?] Paul Rice, Jr in Nov. 1970.
White wedding dress made of sheer fabric with embroidered flowers, leaves, dots, and crescent moons. Sleeves have lace at the cuff. Slip is cream-colored fabric.
NotesObject Note: This dress was made by Mary E. Tracy for her sister, Margaret Helen Tracy's wedding to Charles T. Davis in 1908. Margaret's daughter, Mary Virginia Davis, wore the dress for her wedding to William Paul Rice in 1942.
