DescriptionView of an open square with a dirt road leading up a hill in the background. Frame commercial buildings, most with porches or awnings, are on both sides of the street. Horse-drawn carriages are in the street. Men, women and a girl walk or sit in carriages. The store with the large awning on the right may be Day's Market. A sign in the right foreground reads: "We Give S & [H] / Green Trading Stamps." A sidewalk leads up the hill through a lawn on the right. A church steeple is partially hidden by trees. Utility poles line the street.
