DescriptionMen, women, boys and girls in seventeenth-century costume pose beneath trees, presumably on the bank of the Connecticut River. Some men have beards or mustaches. One man wears eyeglasses. Most wear tall hats, cloaks or capes and broad collars and cuffs. Some wear armor and carry muskets. Women and girls wear caps and aprons. Two girls hold dolls. One woman lies on a bed or litter covered with blankets.
NotesSubject Note: The Bulkeley Bridge opened to trolley traffic on December 8, 1907 and to the general public on December 21, 1907. The dedication of the bridge was the occasion of a three-day celebration on October 6,7, and 8, 1908.Status
