DescriptionMen, women, boys and girls in seventeenth-century costume pose beneath trees, presumably on the bank of the Connecticut River. Some men have beards or mustaches. Most wear tall hats, cloaks or capes and broad collars and cuffs. Some wear armor and carry muskets. Women and girls wear caps and aprons. Several sheep are at the right. A utility pole is in the left background. Leaves are on the ground.
NotesSubject Note: The Bulkeley Bridge opened to trolley traffic on December 8, 1907 and to the general public on December 21, 1907. The dedication of the bridge was the occasion of a three-day celebration on October 6,7, and 8, 1908.
