An infant is in a wicker baby carriage. Two men in the right foreground wear band uniforms. Booths are decorated with American flags, a red cross flag and bunting. Electric [?] lights and lanterns hang from wires. Signs read: "Meriden / Lodge / Elks / No. 35" "Sons of St. George" "[Y]W.C.A." "Susan... Clarke / D.A.R." "Meriden Hospital." Inscribed on back: "Dear Grandma / here is a postal / of the carnival / to ad [sic] to your collection had a fine time up / there. Am out of / work for a few weeks / will see you soon / Merritt."
