DescriptionA picket fence and an arbor screened with chicken wire are at the entrance to the playground. A boy in a cap, knickers and a sweater stands on the fence at the left near vines growing on a trellis. A trash can with a stenciled sign: "Paper" is on the sidewalk outside the fence. The corner of a baby carriage is at the right. Behind the fence, boys and girls play on slide, swings, and hammocks. Laundry hangs from clotheslines on the back porches of multiple-family housing at the right. A frame building is at the left and a brick building is in the background.
