DescriptionMen, women, boys and girls in seventeenth-century costume and men dressed as Native Americans gather in front of teepees on the bank of the Connecticut River. Men wear capes and doublets and hold tall hats. Some wear armor and carry muskets. Some kneel as if in prayer. Some of the men have beards or mustaches. Some of the "Native American" wear blankets, bead necklaces, feather headdresses, tights and tight-fitting jerseys. A dock, a frame building and spectators are on the East Hartford shore.
