Talcott & Co. / Storehouse" "C.H. T[alcott & Co.]" "Heavy Che[micals]" "Paints..." Three men in derby hats and overcoats stand on the sidewalk. Wires from a utility pole run along the street and to the buildings. A theatrical poster for "The Cow-Puncher" is at the far left.

NotesSubject Note: Abraham Bogin, Barry Bogin and Joseph Freedman were the partners in Bogin & Freedman, cigar manufacturers, at 243 State Street. Mapes Formula & Peruvian Guano Co. was located at 239 Sate Street. C.H. Talcott & Co., wholesale dealers in chemicals, drugs, paints, oils, acids, and glass had offices at 273-279 Asylum Street and a warehouse at 239 State Street. Bonner-Preston Co. were wholesale and retail dealers in artists' materials, photographic supplies, paints, oil and glass. Part of a series of photographs taken of buildings scheduled for demolition during the construction of the Bulkeley Bridge.
