DescriptionCrowd of men women and children line the sidewalks and curbs and stand on the grass in Bushnell Park in the background. Some women use umbrellas as parasols. Horse-drawn carriages are in the right foreground. A wicker baby carriage is in the right background. The parade includes a military unit carrying an American flag and another flag in the foreground and a band in the background. Musicians play horns, a drum and other instruments. The large building with towers and dormers in the background is Hartford Public High School. Some of the trees in the park appear to be elms.
