DescriptionFour-story stone commercial building with plate glass windows on the ground floor, pediments over the second story windows and arched windows on the top floor. There are striped awnings on some windows. Brackets are beneath the roof. Several men stand or walk on the sidewalks.
NotesSubject Note: Ella M. Olmstead taught at Olmstead's Commercial College, 756 Main Street. Mrs. Mary L. Smith was a public stenographer and instructor at 2 Central Row, Room 6. Thomas J. Spellacy was a state senator and lawyer at 756 Main Street, Room 41. The partners in Gross, Hyde & Shipman, 750 Main Street, were Charles E. Gross, William Waldo Hyde, Arthur L. Shipman, Charles Welles Gross and Alvan Waldo Hyde. Albert W. Scoville, architect, had offices at 756 Main Street, Room 48. John C. Ripley was the president of the Ripley Art Co., 752 Main Street.
