DescriptionView looking south on Main Street. Trolley tracks cross in the road. Marching units include men in uniform, some of them on horses. Spectators crowd the sidewalks. A reviewing stand decorated with American flags is in the left foreground. Buildings are decorated with American flags and bunting. The tall building at the left is part of Travelers Insurance Company. Billboards in the distance read: "Kolb's Bread" "Coebil Hats" "Palace / Theatre / The Vivians." The buildings on the right side of the street are the Connecticut Trust and Safe Deposit Co., the Phoenix Bank Building, State Bank and Trust Company, and the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. The nearest steeple belongs to Center Congregational Church. Beyond in the distance are the steeples of the South Baptist Church and the South Congregational Church. Signs read: "New Palace [Theatre]" "Poli's Theatre / The New / Poli Players / The Dummy."
