DescriptionGroup of men on stage dressed in seventeenth-century, eighteenth-century and early nineteenth-century costumes. Some hold canes or walking sticks. Some wear top hats. Two men sit at a desk. One writes with a quill pen. Decorations include large American flags, bunting, strings of electric lights, and banners painted with portraits of men who resemble George Washington and Israel Putnam.Typewritten inscription beneath image: "Reproduction of Meriden First Town Meeting / 1806."
