DescriptionFour-story Italianate stone commercial building with brackets supporting the roof and shops on the ground floor. Some windows have striped awnings. Signs read: "Hartford Branch / New York Life Ins. Co. / John A. McCall, President" "Hyde, Gross / & Hyde / Attorneys" "Hubbard, Hyde & Gross / Attorneys" "Gross, / Hyde & Shipman / Attorneys" "H.A. Tyler / Life / Insurance" "H.A. Tyler / Accident / Insurance" "Mrs. M.L. Smith / Stenographer / and Copyist / Typewriter Supplies" "New York / Life / Insurance Co. / Assets / $215,945,000 / Alex. Harbison / General Agent" "Hartford / Spring Brook / Ice" "Georges / Express / Storage" "The / Hartford / Trust / Company / Safe Deposit Vaults" "Entrance / to Elevator" "Poole & Co. / Coal." The frame building at the far right has a sign that reads: "744 / The Package Store." A striped pole indicating a barbershop is at the far left. Trolley poles and a fire hydrant are on the sidewalk. American flags and bunting decorate the building.
