DescriptionThree-story frame hotel building with porches on each floor. Signs on the roof and first floor porch read: "Brainard House." Brackets support the roof. Some windows have shutters. An awning is over part of the porch. A shield-shaped hanging sign reads: "J.L. [?] Williams / Livery." Two utility poles with wires are at the center and at the right. A street sign that reads "Church St." is on the left pole. A shade, perhaps indicating a street lamp, is on top of the right pole. A covered wagon drawn by a horse is in front of the hotel. Men are on the porch and near a horse at the far right. Two men stand on the side walk near a fire hydrant.
