DescriptionA fireman in uniform drives a team of three horses drawing a steam-powered pumper. Three additional men in uniform stand nearby. All wear caps and badges. The driver wears leather [?] gloves. A plaque on the boiler reads: "H.F.D." A smokestack and the corner of an industrial building are in the left background behind a board fence. A three-story brick multiple-family residence is on the right behind an iron fence. This triple-decker has porches on all three floors and louvered shutters. There appears to be horse manure in the dirt road in the foreground.
